CID Raids 18 Locations Across Jharkhand in Expanding JPSC Probe

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) has intensified its investigation into alleged irregularities in Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examinations by conducting simultaneous raids at 18 locations across Ranchi, Palamu, Hazaribagh, Bokaro and Dhanbad. During the searches, investigators seized laptops, mobile phones, bank passbooks, cheque books, OMR sheet carbon copies, admit cards, mark sheets and other documents considered crucial to the probe. Officials said all recovered electronic devices and records will undergo forensic examination. The investigation is also examining the role of accused Abhay Tiwari, who reportedly cleared several government recruitment examinations over the years. CID has sought detailed records from recruitment agencies to verify his applications, selection process and evaluation history. Separate searches were also conducted in Bokaro and Hazaribagh, where officials questioned suspects and searched multiple premises. Investigators believe forensic analysis and scrutiny of recruitment records could reveal a wider network behind the alleged examination irregularities and lead to further legal action.
