A sensational murder case has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur district, where a woman and her alleged lover have been accused of murdering her husband before fleeing the scene. Police suspect the crime was motivated by an alleged extramarital relationship, and an investigation is currently underway.

The incident occurred in Ward No. 8 of Bhaluahi under the Badlapur police station limits. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Chandradeep. According to family members, he had dinner at home on Friday night before going to sleep in his room. Investigators allege that during the night, his wife, Vandana, conspired with her alleged lover, Rajesh Kumar, to kill him.

Police said the victim was allegedly strangled with a towel while he was asleep, leading to his death on the spot. After the incident, the accused woman and her alleged lover reportedly fled the house, prompting an intensive search operation by the police.

The crime came to light on Saturday morning when other family members discovered Chandradeep's body and alerted the authorities. Station House Officer Phoolchand Pandey reached the spot with a police team, inspected the crime scene, and sent the body for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

The victim’s father, Lalji Gautam, filed a formal complaint accusing his daughter-in-law and her alleged lover of murder. Based on his complaint, police have registered an FIR under relevant sections related to murder. Officials said preliminary findings point towards an alleged love affair as the motive behind the crime, though all angles are being investigated.

Police teams are conducting raids at multiple locations to trace the absconding accused. Authorities have assured that the suspects will be arrested soon and that the case will be thoroughly investigated before further legal action is taken.
