Speeding Vehicle Claims Biker’s Life in Palamu, Police Hunt for Hit-and-Run Driver

A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 30-year-old man in Jharkhand’s Palamu district late on Saturday night. The incident took place near Kundri village under the Lesliganj police station limits in Medininagar, where the victim’s motorcycle was allegedly struck by an unidentified four-wheeler.
The deceased has been identified as Sahil Kumar, a resident of Polpol village in Satbarwa police station area. According to preliminary information, Sahil had travelled to Lesliganj on his motorcycle for personal work. While returning home late at night, his bike reportedly collided with an unidentified four-wheeler near Kundri village. The impact of the collision was severe, throwing him onto the road and leaving him critically injured.
Local residents immediately rushed to the spot and shifted Sahil to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) for emergency treatment. However, after examination, doctors declared him dead. The news of his death left his family devastated. Relatives who reached the hospital broke down in grief upon learning about the tragic incident.
Police arrived at the hospital after receiving information about the accident and took custody of the body. It has been sent for post-mortem examination as part of the legal process.
Officials said efforts are underway to identify the unidentified four-wheeler responsible for the accident. Police are questioning local residents and examining available evidence to trace the vehicle involved in the suspected hit-and-run case. Investigators are also looking into all possible circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities have assured that appropriate legal action will be taken once the investigation is completed and the vehicle and driver are identified.
