India Launches Once-Weekly Insulin Injection for Diabetes Patients

Novo Nordisk has introduced Awiqli, a once-weekly basal insulin injection, in India for adults with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The therapy replaces daily basal insulin, reducing annual injections from 365 to 52. The company said the treatment aims to improve patient adherence and will be distributed nationwide through its network of 4,500 distributors.
