Bangladesh Pushes China-Backed Teesta Project Near India's Siliguri Corridor

Bangladesh has reaffirmed plans to implement the China-backed Teesta Master Plan despite regional concerns. The project, intended to improve river management, irrigation and flood control, is located near India's strategic Siliguri Corridor, known as the Chicken's Neck. China said its cooperation with Bangladesh is developmental and not directed against any third country, according to reports.
