Businessman Found Dead at Actress Krishi Thapanda’s Residence in Bengaluru, Police Probe Underway

A shocking incident has emerged from Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar, where a businessman was found dead at the residence of popular Kannada film actress Krishi Thapanda. According to police, the deceased, identified as Vaishakh, allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday night. Officials said the incident took place around 8:30 PM. Vaishakh had reportedly been staying at the actress’s house for nearly a week before the incident. At the time of the tragedy, Krishi Thapanda was not at home and had reportedly traveled to Yelahanka for work-related commitments. Police officers who reached the scene did not recover any suicide note. The body has been sent to Victoria Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Preliminary findings suggest that Vaishakh had been battling severe depression and was undergoing treatment. Investigators believe he was dealing with multiple personal and family-related issues that had significantly affected his mental well-being. Sources indicated that he had been living separately from his wife for nearly a month due to ongoing domestic disputes. Police are currently examining his recent activities, medical history, and interactions with family members and acquaintances to determine the events leading up to the incident. Officials have stated that all angles are being investigated and further conclusions will depend on the outcome of the post-mortem report and ongoing inquiries.
Vaishakh had also come under the spotlight earlier this year in a high-profile extortion and threat case. In February, prominent businessman and lawyer Aravind Reddy reportedly received a threatening letter demanding ₹6–7 crore and seeking an apology. During the investigation, HAL police arrested Vaishakh, alleging that he had sent the letter in connection with a dispute involving a woman. However, he was later released, and on February 6, the Karnataka High Court stayed further investigation against him. Before that order, police had questioned him in custody for five days. Authorities are now examining whether any of these past legal troubles contributed to his mental distress.
