Mukesh Sahani Expands VIP to Karnataka, Targets National Push for Nishad Reservation

Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) founder and former Bihar minister Mukesh Sahani has announced a major expansion of the party into Karnataka, aiming to strengthen the nationwide movement for the rights and reservation demands of the Nishad community. Addressing the media in Patna, Sahani said VIP has already built a strong presence in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, and is now preparing for political growth in southern India.

Sahani revealed that B.K. Mohan has been appointed Karnataka state president and that the party has begun preparations for the 2028 Karnataka Assembly elections. He noted that the state has a sizeable Nishad population, locally known as “Gangaputra.”

The VIP chief also expressed confidence in the INDIA alliance, claiming that a future government under Rahul Gandhi could address long-pending reservation demands. He criticized the Centre over inflation and unemployment and accused authorities of targeting opposition leaders through political actions.
