‘No More War’ Wins Global Recognition: Peace-Themed Indian Short Film Selected for International Festivals in Kolkata and Sri Lanka

Amid rising conflicts and violence across the world, the short film No More War has emerged as a powerful voice for peace, love, and humanity. Produced under the Nauras Film Production banner, the film has achieved international recognition after being officially selected for the prestigious Vivekananda International Film Festival in Kolkata and the Sri Lanka International Film Festival.
The film will be screened on June 21 at Kolkata’s Science City as part of the grand festival celebrations. Its selection for multiple international platforms highlights the growing global relevance of its message at a time when the world continues to witness wars, conflicts, and humanitarian crises.
Written and directed by Amit Akshat, the film revolves around the emotional journey of a 10-year-old boy named Shubh, portrayed by actor Shreshth. After watching disturbing news reports about war and destruction on television, the young boy begins questioning the violence surrounding him. On his birthday, when his father gifts him a toy gun, Shubh refuses to accept it, choosing instead to stand for peace and non-violence.
The film also features performances by Manoj Sahay, Mehul Prasad, Sandipika Roy, and Avanish Bhardwaj in key roles. Through its heartfelt narrative, the film emphasizes that human life is meant for compassion, brotherhood, and coexistence rather than conflict and warfare.
Built around the message “No Weapon, Only Love,” the film is supported by strong technical craftsmanship. Cinematography has been handled by Neeraj and Sumit, while Sachin Mahli contributed both the music and editing.
Director Amit Akshat and his team hope that the film’s message reaches global policymakers and audiences alike, encouraging meaningful conversations around peace, humanity, and a world free from war.
