Young Man Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances in Palamu, Police Await Post-Mortem Report

Tension gripped the Shahpur Semratad locality in Palamu district after the body of a 25-year-old man was found under suspicious circumstances on Tuesday morning. The deceased was identified as Pankaj Chandravanshi, son of local resident Teju Ram, who lived with his family in the area.
According to reports, family members and local residents discovered Pankaj dead at his residence, triggering panic and concern in the neighborhood. Soon after receiving information about the incident, the Chainpur police reached the spot and launched an investigation.
Police took possession of the body and completed the necessary legal formalities, including preparing the inquest report. The body was later sent to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Family members have claimed that Pankaj died by suicide after allegedly hanging himself. They said they came to know about the incident in the morning, after which grief spread throughout the household. However, police officials have refrained from drawing any conclusions at this stage.
Authorities stated that the actual cause of death can only be confirmed after the post-mortem report and forensic findings are examined. Investigators are exploring all possible angles and are questioning family members as well as local residents to gather more information about the circumstances leading to the death.
Meanwhile, a case of unnatural death has been registered, and further investigation is underway. Police officials have assured that every aspect of the case will be thoroughly examined before any final conclusion is reached.
Upon learning about the incident, social worker Vijay Chandravanshi also arrived at Medinirai Medical College and Hospital and extended assistance during the post-mortem process. The tragic death has left the victim’s family devastated, while a pall of mourning hangs over the entire neighborhood as residents await the outcome of the investigation and post-mortem report.
