Nepal Clarifies PM’s India Land Remark, Cites Border Management Issues

Nepal’s Foreign Ministry has clarified Prime Minister Balen Shah’s remarks regarding land use along the India-Nepal border, stating they relate to boundary pillars, no-man’s land and cross-border usage disputes. The ministry said some areas used by Nepal may lie on India’s side and vice versa, while reaffirming that the official border remains defined under the Sugauli Treaty.
