In a major breakthrough against organized crime, police in Jharkhand’s Haidernagar police station area have arrested four active members of the notorious Rahul Singh gang. The operation was carried out based on specific intelligence inputs and was led by IPS officer Divyansh Shukla.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Vikrant Singh, Santosh Ram, Madhukant Prajapati, and Vikram Ram. During the raid, police recovered two country-made pistols, two live cartridges, six misfired cartridges, an empty magazine, and four mobile phones from their possession.

Addressing a press conference, Palamu Superintendent of Police Kapil Choudhary stated that all four accused were closely associated with the Rahul Singh gang and had been actively working for the criminal network for a considerable period. According to the police, intelligence reports suggested that the gang members were planning to extort money from officials of Duars Construction Company, which is currently engaged in road construction work in the Haidernagar region.

Investigators also learned that the accused were allegedly preparing to create obstacles in the construction project and were planning to carry out firing incidents to intimidate company officials and workers. Acting swiftly on the information, a police team launched a targeted raid and successfully apprehended all four suspects before they could execute their alleged plans.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly provided several important leads regarding the activities of the gang. Police officials believe the information could help uncover additional criminal operations and identify other individuals connected to the network.

Authorities have described the arrests as a significant step toward maintaining law and order in the region and ensuring the safety of infrastructure projects. Further investigations are underway to determine the full extent of the gang’s activities and to identify any additional associates involved in extortion and related criminal offenses.
