A shocking case of domestic violence has emerged from Mumbai’s RCF police station area, where a 25-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly subjecting his wife to prolonged physical and psychological abuse. The accused, identified as Arbaz Syed, is facing multiple charges related to assault, criminal intimidation, and domestic violence.
According to police officials, the incident began following a domestic dispute between the couple. Investigators allege that Syed confined his wife inside their residence and threatened her with a sword. He reportedly warned her of serious consequences, including threats to her life and alleged threats of an acid attack intended to intimidate and terrorize her.
Police further stated that the accused allegedly forced the woman to remain in a physically stressful position for several hours while continuing to harass and threaten her. The victim eventually managed to escape from the house and sought shelter at her parental home.
However, authorities claim the accused later went to his wife’s parents’ residence, where another confrontation took place. During the altercation, he allegedly created a disturbance and attacked the woman with a knife, causing injuries. Following information about the incident, officers from RCF Police Station rushed to the scene, detained the accused, and later placed him under formal arrest.
During the investigation, police discovered that Syed has an extensive criminal record. According to official records, he is a history-sheeter with 19 cases previously registered against him. These cases reportedly include charges related to theft, snatching, assault, rioting, criminal intimidation, and other serious offenses.
Police officials stated that the accused has been arrested multiple times in the past and is known to law enforcement agencies in the area. Investigators are now examining the circumstances that led to the dispute and reviewing his criminal background in detail. Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
