The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) successfully conducted the Jharkhand B.Ed Entrance Examination 2026 on Sunday across 94 centres statewide. More than 45,000 candidates appeared for the test, competing for admission to nearly 13,600 seats available in 136 government and private B.Ed colleges. Ranchi recorded the highest participation, with 30 examination centres set up across the city.

The two-hour examination, carrying 100 marks, was conducted under strict security arrangements and continuous monitoring to ensure a fair and malpractice-free process. Candidates were required to carry valid admit cards and photo identification, while mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, and other electronic devices were strictly prohibited.

The question paper included sections on Hindi, English, Teaching Aptitude, and Reasoning, with negative marking applicable for incorrect answers. Authorities deployed magistrates, police personnel, invigilators, and flying squads across centres. The examination results will determine admissions for the upcoming academic session in Jharkhand’s B.Ed institutions.
