The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Dhanbad carried out a major operation by arresting Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Mohammad Yakub Ansari, posted at Balidih police station in Bokaro, for allegedly accepting a ₹5,000 bribe. The officer was caught red-handed during a trap operation conducted in the Naya Mod area.

According to ACB officials, the complainant had purchased land in Balidih in 2009 and later faced disputes and threats related to the property. After filing complaints with local authorities, the investigation was assigned to ASI Ansari. It is alleged that the officer demanded ₹5,000 to visit the disputed site and conduct the inquiry.

Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the ACB office in Dhanbad. After verifying the allegations, officials registered a case and laid a trap. Ansari was arrested while allegedly receiving the money in the presence of independent witnesses. Further legal proceedings are underway.
