IAS Officer Mohammad Javed Hussain Takes Charge as Khunti DC

Mohammad Javed Hussain, a 2019 batch officer of the Indian Administrative Service, has officially assumed charge as the 16th Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate of Khunti. He took over responsibilities from outgoing Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvaniya during an official handover ceremony attended by senior district officials, department representatives, and administrative staff.
Following the charge-taking ceremony, Mohammad Javed Hussain said that his foremost priority would be ensuring that government welfare and public benefit schemes reach the last person in society effectively and transparently. He emphasized that the administration’s primary goal should be to deliver benefits to deserving citizens in a timely manner without delays or irregularities.
The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner also stated that he would review ongoing development projects and infrastructure-related works across the district to ensure faster implementation. He highlighted the importance of improving sectors such as education, healthcare, roads, drinking water supply, and rural development.
Javed Hussain urged officials to work with a strong sense of teamwork and focus on resolving public grievances quickly and efficiently. According to him, better coordination between the administration and the public is essential for ensuring that welfare schemes and development initiatives benefit the right people.
Officials and employees present during the program expressed confidence that Khunti district would witness accelerated development under his leadership. The district administration also hoped that several important government projects would gain momentum and be implemented more effectively during his tenure.
