A major two-day law and order review meeting will be held at the Jharkhand Police Headquarters in Ranchi on May 29 and 30. The meeting will be chaired by Tadasha Mishra and attended by senior police officials, including SSPs, SPs, Range IGs, DIGs, and top IPS officers from across Jharkhand.
According to the police headquarters, detailed agendas and instructions have already been issued for the high-level review session. This will reportedly be the first time DGP Tadasha Mishra will hold an in-person comprehensive review meeting with district police chiefs and senior officers to assess the state’s security and crime-control mechanisms.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 AM on May 29, with several departments expected to deliver presentations on key law and order issues. The first presentation will reportedly focus on the overall law and order situation in the state, followed by a report from the CID regarding major criminal incidents.
The Special Branch will provide updates on current naxal activities and security-related challenges. Presentations related to newly implemented laws will also be delivered by senior police officials, while the Jharkhand Jaguar will brief officials on matters related to RSS operations and internal security.
The review meeting will also assess law and order issues that emerged during festivals and major public events. Discussions will include cybercrime, robbery, extortion, kidnapping, illegal arms trade, human trafficking, and naxal incidents reported between March 2025 and March 2026.
Special attention will be given to pending investigations, particularly cases pending for more than five years. The DGP will also review progress in sensitive cases related to the POCSO Act, dowry deaths, rape, witchcraft-related violence, and cases registered under the SC/ST Act.
Preparations for the upcoming Shravani Mela will also be reviewed, with the Deoghar SP directed to present a detailed plan on crowd management and security arrangements for devotees.
