Jharkhand Pushes Investment Drive After Davos, UK Visit

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren chaired a high-level review meeting at his residence office to assess progress on investment proposals and MoUs signed during his recent visits to the World Economic Forum in Davos and the United Kingdom. Officials presented detailed updates on ongoing developments, following which the Chief Minister directed departments to prepare concrete action plans to ensure swift implementation on the ground.

Soren emphasized prioritizing sectors such as textiles, information technology, food processing, tourism, higher education, and critical minerals to accelerate industrial growth and generate employment. Highlighting the textile sector’s potential, he noted that a strong policy could create large-scale local jobs.

The meeting also discussed promoting research and processing of critical minerals and establishing a Centre of Excellence in collaboration with UK institutions. Additionally, officials were instructed to frame investor-friendly policies to attract investments in emerging sectors, aiming to position Jharkhand as a major industrial hub.
