Tightened Security at Baidyanath Temple with New Surveillance Measures

Security at the Baba Baidyanath Temple, one of the twelve revered Jyotirlingas, is being significantly upgraded with a comprehensive new plan by the district administration. Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs) will be installed at all entry points to ensure thorough screening of devotees. The move follows recent security concerns and inputs from agencies, prompting authorities to strengthen surveillance and monitoring systems.

In addition, devotees will not be allowed to carry mobile phones, bags, or other items inside the temple. A modern cloakroom facility is being set up to store belongings safely. To enhance internal security, a digital database of all workers, vendors, and service providers is also being created, with mandatory identification for access.

Officials say these measures, along with better crowd management and regulated stalls, aim to provide a safer and more organized environment for the growing number of devotees visiting the temple.
