Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has launched a sharp attack on Bihar’s healthcare system, alleging widespread mismanagement and lack of basic facilities in government hospitals. In a social media post, he claimed that patients are struggling due to shortages of doctors, medicines, beds, and even essential items like wheelchairs.

Targeting Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Tejashwi accused the government of neglecting public health services and allowing corruption to weaken the system. He alleged that many hospitals lack adequate staff, including doctors, nurses, and technicians, rendering infrastructure ineffective.

He further claimed that government hospitals have turned into referral centres, forcing patients to seek treatment in private facilities. Highlighting his previous tenure, Tejashwi said improvements made earlier have been reversed. The ruling NDA has not yet responded in detail to the allegations.
