Anant Singh Released on Bail, Set for Grand Roadshow in Mokama

Mokama MLA Anant Singh has been released from Beur Jail after nearly four months following bail granted by the Patna High Court in a murder case. He returned to his Patna residence to a grand welcome by supporters and is set to visit his constituency for the first time since his release and electoral victory.

Singh will lead a 50-kilometre roadshow in Mokama, interacting with supporters and visiting religious sites, including Maharani Sthan in Barh. Several arrangements have been made along the route. Speaking after his release, Singh denied the allegations, claiming he was falsely implicated and not present at the crime scene.

He was arrested in November 2025 in connection with the Dularchand Yadav murder case during election campaigning. The defence cited inconsistencies in evidence while seeking bail. Police investigations remain ongoing, with multiple FIRs registered in the case.
