Senior JD(U) leader Abhishek Sharma has welcomed Nishant Kumar’s formal entry into the party, describing it as a moment of pride and optimism for party workers. Nishant, the son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, joined the Janata Dal (United) on Sunday, marking the beginning of his political journey.
Sharma said Nishant’s induction would bring fresh energy and a new direction to the party. He noted that Nishant comes from a family that has set examples in governance, development and social justice in Bihar. According to Sharma, Nishant is expected to draw inspiration from his father’s experience and leadership while building his own identity in public life.
He also praised Nishant’s humility, highlighting how he sought blessings from senior leaders, including Union Minister Lalan Singh, soon after taking party membership. Sharma expressed confidence that Nishant would work closely with grassroots workers and strengthen the party organisation while carrying forward JD(U)’s principles of inclusive development and balanced politics.
