Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, met his father on Sunday after formally joining the Janata Dal (United) and sought his blessings. After taking party membership, Nishant visited his father and offered him sweets to mark the occasion, symbolising the beginning of his political journey.
In a message shared after the meeting, Nishant said he received his father’s blessings to strengthen the party and continue the vision of development for Bihar. He added that Nitish Kumar’s leadership and commitment to the state’s progress would continue to guide him.
Earlier in the day, Nishant officially joined JD(U) at the party’s state office in Patna in the presence of national executive president Sanjay Jha, state president Umesh Kushwaha, ministers Shravan Kumar and Leshi Singh, and several party leaders and supporters.
After the ceremony, Nishant also visited the Mahavir Temple near Patna Junction, where he offered prayers and sought divine blessings before beginning his political career.
