Four Arrested After Holi Day Firing Incident in Dhanbad

Police in Dhanbad have arrested four individuals from two rival groups following a Holi day clash that escalated into a firing incident at Bermasia Football Ground in the Dhansar police station area. The confrontation occurred on March 4 and left two youths injured by gunshots. According to City SP Rithvik Srivastava, separate complaints were filed by both sides after the incident.

Based on Vishnu Kumar’s statement, one FIR was registered, while another case was filed on the complaint of Sudhir Yadav. During the investigation, police arrested Anil Yadav and Abhishek Thakur from one group, while Krishna Kumar alias Lalla and Atish Sharma, supporters of injured Vishnu Kumar, were taken into custody from the other side.

Police also recovered the country-made pistol used in the firing and a cartridge from the spot. Officials said the dispute began over pending dues of around ₹2.5 lakh between contractor Vikas Lala and subcontractor Vishnu Kumar. The main accused, Vikas Lala, remains absconding.
