Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav launched a sharp attack on the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government, alleging a complete breakdown of law and order in the state. Speaking outside the Bihar Legislature complex, he claimed that daily incidents of murder and violence have created fear among the public, while the government has failed to take responsibility. Referring to a recent incident in which a bride was shot during a wedding ceremony, Yadav said the Chief Minister was facing his weakest political phase and alleged that crime has increased since changes in administrative responsibilities. He further claimed that criminals were receiving political protection.
Tejashwi also questioned discussions around infiltration during Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Bihar visit, alleging the issue was being raised for political gain ahead of elections. Expanding his criticism to the Centre, he expressed concern over the weakening rupee and tariff-related pressures, accusing the central government of ignoring economic challenges and focusing only on political rhetoric instead of public issues.
