Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) has announced that metro services will remain temporarily suspended on February 26, 2026, due to a major trial run being conducted between Bhootnath and Malahi Pakri stations. The trial is part of preparations for the upcoming expansion and operational readiness of the metro corridor. According to officials, the exercise aims to test technical systems, safety measures, and overall operational efficiency before regular services are expanded. Commuters have been advised to plan their travel accordingly, as revenue operations will not run on the specified day. PMRCL stated that normal metro services will resume from February 27, 2026, following completion of the trial and safety assessments. The corporation emphasized that the move is an important step toward providing safer, faster, and more efficient public transportation for residents.
