Ranchi authorities have imposed strict airspace restrictions ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s scheduled visit to Jharkhand on February 26. The administration has declared the entire Birsa Munda Airport perimeter a no-flying zone to ensure high-level security during her arrival and departure. The order, issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), prohibits the operation of drones, paragliders, hot-air balloons and other unmanned or light flying devices in and above the designated area. The restrictions will remain effective from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm on the day of the visit. President Murmu is expected to attend an official programme in Jamshedpur during her one-day tour. Ranchi Police, along with district administration officials, have put extensive security measures in place, including surveillance and controlled access zones around the airport. Authorities have appealed to residents to cooperate and strictly follow guidelines to ensure smooth movement and safety throughout the presidential visit.
