Himachal Pradesh’s Animal Husbandry Department has suspended recruitment for Pashu Mitra posts after outrage over women candidates being made to run 100 metres carrying 25-kg sacks. The jobs offered ₹5,000 monthly wages. A viral video showed a participant collapsing during the test. Officials said the recruitment process is on hold while a revised, fairer evaluation format is prepared.
