Jharkhand Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore has allocated ₹11,038.53 crore to the Home, Jail, and Disaster Management Department for the financial year 2026-27. The budget aims to strengthen security, disaster management, and law enforcement across the state.To prevent illegal mobile phone use in jails, 5G jammers and detectors will be installed, enhancing monitoring and ensuring the safety of inmates. In addition, the state government has announced special measures to secure Maoist-affected areas. With ₹60 crore in central assistance, West Singhbhum, Bokaro, Chatra, and Latehar districts will be made Maoist-free.Officials from the department say that these initiatives will not only improve law and order but also ensure the safety of ordinary citizens. Experts believe that these measures will reinforce peace, stability, and development in the state, marking a significant step in regional security and disaster management.
