Bihar Minister Ashok Choudhary Appointed Assistant Professor at AN College

Bihar Rural Works Minister Ashok Choudhary has embarked on a parallel academic journey after receiving his official appointment as an Assistant Professor from Patliputra University. Vice-Chancellor Upendra Prasad Singh handed over the letter, following which Choudhary joined the Political Science department at Anugrah Narayan (A.N.) College in Patna.

Describing the moment as deeply emotional, Choudhary dedicated the achievement to his late father, calling it the fulfilment of a long-cherished dream. In a social media post, he reflected on how his father had encouraged him to pursue higher education and build a stable academic career, even arranging for his PhD to secure his future. Though he chose active politics, Choudhary said his father always wished to see him as a professor.

“People often become ministers after being professors; I am becoming a professor after serving as a minister,” he remarked. He joined the college in the presence of senior faculty members and paid tribute to Bihar Vibhuti Dr. Anugrah Narayan Singh.
