At MGM Medical College and Hospital in Jamshedpur, efforts to improve patient services are now at a decisive stage after directions from the district administration and local authorities. Following an inspection by the Deputy Commissioner, several important decisions have been taken to enhance healthcare delivery at the hospital.Under the new plan, patients will now be able to get all required medicines directly from the hospital pharmacy, eliminating the need to purchase drugs from outside sources. This is expected to significantly reduce inconvenience and extra costs for patients and their families.Regular availability of advanced diagnostic services like CT scan and MRI will also be ensured soon, providing timely and critical tests within the hospital premises itself, which was previously a concern. In addition, the administration has directed that doctors be present in the wards 24 hours a day, improving medical supervision and emergency response for inpatients throughout the day and night. These reforms aim to strengthen patient care, reduce delays in treatment, and make the hospital more efficient and patient‑friendly.
