Jharkhand Police is taking comprehensive steps to improve road safety and reduce accidents across the state. With traffic violations and speeding vehicles being a major cause of accidents, the police are focusing on stricter monitoring and enforcement. On highways, the number of speed laser guns will be increased to detect and penalize speeding vehicles more effectively. In urban areas, high-quality cameras will be installed at key points to monitor traffic, identify violations, and ensure safer roads for commuters. In addition to surveillance, the police are investing in new interceptor vehicles that can quickly respond to violations and emergencies. Around 30 to 31 advanced equipment types, including breath analyzers and body-worn cameras, will also be deployed to enhance enforcement capabilities and maintain better records of traffic operations. These tools are expected to improve both detection and accountability on the roads. The department is also emphasizing rapid medical response for accident victims. Quick health assistance will help minimize injuries and save lives.Overall, these initiatives aim not only to reduce speeding and traffic violations but also to create a safer road environment across Jharkhand. By combining technology, better monitoring, and timely medical support, the police hope to significantly decrease road accidents and enhance overall traffic safety in the state.
