Student Found Dead in Patna Hostel, CCTV Footage Raises Murder Suspicion

A young woman living in a private hostel in the Janipur area of Patna was found dead under suspicious circumstances, triggering panic among residents and students. The deceased was a student staying at the hostel for studies. Her family has alleged that the death was not accidental but a premeditated murder.

Police recovered CCTV footage from the area, which has complicated the investigation further. The footage reportedly shows two unidentified youths near the hostel around the time of the incident. Police are examining how the suspects entered the premises and what connection they may have had with the victim.

Janipur police have taken one युवक into custody and are questioning him while also analysing call detail records and other technical evidence. The body has been sent to AIIMS Patna for postmortem examination. Police said the exact cause of death will be clear only after the report arrives.
