Patna Doctor Kidnapped for Ransom Rescued Within 24 Hours

Patna Police have successfully rescued Dr. Sarvesh Kumar Tiwari, who was kidnapped for ransom from the Janipur police station area, within 24 hours of the incident. The doctor was abducted on February 10, 2026, while returning home to Rajiv Nagar from Aryabhatta Institute of Nursing and Paramedical College. The kidnappers demanded ₹70 lakh from his family, prompting immediate police action.

Following a complaint, Janipur police registered a case and formed a special investigation team under the supervision of senior officers. Using technical and scientific evidence, the team traced the kidnappers to Maksudpur village under Warisnagar police station in Samastipur district. A swift raid led to the safe recovery of Dr. Tiwari.

Police arrested three accused — Ravindra Prasad Singh, Rakesh Kumar, and Manish Kumar — all residents of Samastipur. The arrested men have been sent to judicial custody. Authorities stated that raids are ongoing to apprehend other members of the kidnapping gang.
