During the operation, a suspicious Hyva truck loaded with stone chips was intercepted and searched.
On inspection, police found 386 cartons of foreign liquor cleverly concealed beneath the gravel. The seized liquor is estimated to be worth around Rs 40 lakh. The truck was immediately confiscated and the driver taken into custody.
The arrested driver was identified as Rajesh Kumar, son of Balveer Yadav, a resident of Pipratanti in Nawada district. During preliminary interrogation, police received several crucial leads. Further investigation is underway to trace the source and destination of the liquor and identify the wider smuggling network involved.
