In Odisha’s Keonjhar district, Dhanbad Police and Odisha Police conducted a joint operation and arrested two criminals in connection with the Bank of Maharashtra robbery. The arrested accused have been identified as Raja Kumar Singh and Kunal Raj Verma.Police recovered gold worth approximately ₹28 lakh and two Scorpio vehicles used in the robbery from their possession. This operation is linked to the January 19 robbery at the Bank of Maharashtra, where gold worth more than ₹5 crore was looted.Police stated that more accused are involved in the case and the arrest operation is ongoing. The investigation team is still searching for other suspects and absconding criminals. After the incident, the bank’s security arrangements and CCTV footage are also being examined.The joint investigation by Dhanbad and Odisha police has yielded this success, which is considered a major breakthrough in the robbery case.
