Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made an unexpected visit to the Janata Dal (United) state headquarters in Patna on Friday, triggering heightened activity within the party office. The sudden arrival of the chief minister caught party leaders and workers by surprise, leading to a visible buzz across the premises.
Soon after reaching the office, Nitish Kumar proceeded directly to his chamber, where he reviewed ongoing organisational activities and sought updates on party affairs. He later interacted with party workers present at the office, enquiring about their well-being and listening to their concerns. The interaction was seen as a morale booster for workers, many of whom welcomed the chief minister’s direct engagement.
During the visit, Bihar government minister Vijay Chaudhary and JD(U) state president Umesh Kushwaha were also present alongside the chief minister. Nitish Kumar inspected various sections of the party office and held discussions with senior leaders on organisational matters and coordination.
Party sources said the visit was informal and aimed at strengthening internal communication within the organisation. However, the chief minister’s unannounced presence generated considerable speculation and enthusiasm among workers, underlining his continued focus on party structure and grassroots connect ahead of key political developments in the state.
