Cyber Crime Emerges as Jharkhand’s Biggest Security Challenge

As Jharkhand recovers from Naxalism, cybercrime has emerged as a major threat. Police arrested over 1,200 cyber criminals across the state by November 2025, while 2,100 were held in three years. Despite arrests and cyber police stations, fraud continues unabated. Vigilant policing, however, helped save nearly ₹100 crore of public money over six years, officials said.
