Severe cold has gripped Jharkhand as temperatures continue to fall, causing shivering conditions even during daytime. The weather office warned of a further two-degree drop over the next two days, followed by a rise before New Year. Schools in Ranchi are closed till December 31. Gumla recorded the lowest temperature at 3.6°C, with cold wave alerts issued for several districts.
