Cab Driver Assaulted, One Arrested in Late-Night Robbery Attempt in Ranchi

Late Sunday night, a cab robbery was reported in Ranchi’s Lower Bazar police area. Police said Farhan Ansari and Mohammad Sahab booked a cab online around 10:45 pm and drove the driver across the city for two hours. They forced him to arrange ₹34,000 cash, assaulted him with a pistol butt, fled with the weapon, while one accused was caught.
