INTUC Leader Raises Concern Over New Labour Laws

INTUC’s National General Secretary Vijay Kamle has expressed serious concern over the new labour laws, stating they give employers excessive freedom to carry out layoffs. He added that the Industrial Relations Code requiring workers to give a 60-day strike notice to management weakens democratic rights. Kamle said such provisions could limit workers’ ability to protest and may adversely affect labour–management relations.
