Ex-CEC SY Quraishi Warns Officials Over Voter Deletions

Former Chief Election Commissioner SY Quraishi alleged that officials forcing voters to delete names could face legal action. He said Form 6 can be filed by a deleted voter to restore their name, while submitting Form 6 for someone already registered could amount to a criminal offence. Quraishi criticised the Election Commission’s approach and said officials should facilitate voter registration.
