India Plans Higher Ethanol Blending in Petrol, PM Modi’s Advisor Confirms

The government is considering ethanol blending beyond the current 20% level, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advisor Tarun Kapoor said. He added that wider availability of E100 petrol, containing 100% ethanol, would be necessary alongside flex-fuel vehicles. The move aims to expand ethanol use nationwide, supporting cleaner fuels and availability across the country.
