Bombay High Court Refuses to Quash 2019 Summons Against Rahul Gandhi

The Bombay High Court has refused to quash 2019 summons issued to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case over remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Justice N R Borkar dismissed Gandhi’s petition, finding no perversity or illegality in the magistrate’s order. The court said there was no reason to interfere, while allowing Gandhi to approach the Supreme Court.
