Lata Mangeshkar Fought to Keep CID on Air

Actor Dayanand Shetty recalled that legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar was a devoted CID fan and strongly opposed its removal from television in 2018. Shetty said she even called Sony’s American office and angrily questioned the decision, asking why the show was being taken off air. He attributed the move to internal politics personally.
