Nagpur chlorine gas leak sends over 40 ill, NDRF rescue

More than 40 people fell ill after a chlorine gas leak from a 900-kg cylinder at Nagpur’s Godhni water treatment plant Monday. Residents reported coughing and breathing difficulties and were evacuated. NDRF and civic teams contained the leak by submerging the cylinder in a caustic soda solution. No fatalities were reported.
