State-run BSNL has introduced a satellite phone priced at ₹1,34,166, enabling voice communication in regions without mobile network coverage. The device connects through satellite networks, making it suitable for defence personnel, maritime operations, disaster response teams, mining sites, remote locations, pilgrims and adventure travellers. The launch aims to provide reliable connectivity where conventional cellular networks remain unavailable.
