DRDO’s New Cruise Missile Nails 1,000 km Target in Landmark Test

India achieved a major defence milestone as DRDO successfully test-fired the Long-Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM) from Odisha’s Chandipur range. The missile accurately struck a target 1,000 kilometres away, overcoming issues that affected the earlier Nirbhay programme. Featuring improved guidance, low-altitude flight and multi-platform launch capability, the missile will undergo further user trials before induction.
