A Maharashtra man has been arrested for allegedly killing his six-year-old daughter to meet the two-child eligibility rule for contesting Sarpanch elections, police said. The accused, father of three children, reportedly threw the girl into a canal in Telangana. Police also booked a village sarpanch for allegedly suggesting the act. Investigations continue, and authorities said strict action will follow accordingly.
