India is set to sharply reduce import duties on cars from the European Union under a proposed free trade agreement, according to a Reuters report. Tariffs may be cut to 40 percent from the current peak of 110 percent. Sources say duties could eventually fall further to as low as 10 percent, significantly easing market access for European automakers and boosting bilateral trade ties.
