Pakistan Cricket Board has officially announced its 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. Star all-rounder Fatima Sana will once again lead the Pakistani side in the tournament.
Pakistan’s squad includes five players who are set to make their Women’s T20 World Cup debut. These players are Saira Jabeen, Tasmia Rubab, Natalia Parvez, Iman Fatima, and Rameen Shamim. The selectors have tried to build a balanced squad with a mix of experienced players and young talent.
Top-order batter Gul Feroza is expected to play a crucial role for Pakistan after recently scoring two centuries in the ODI series against Zimbabwe. Experienced batters Muneeba Ali and Ayesha Zafar will also be key players in the batting lineup. In the middle order, Aliya Riaz and Iram Javed are expected to provide stability and finishing strength.
Pakistan’s bowling attack is once again considered the team’s strongest area. The spin department includes experienced bowlers Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sandhu, and Tuba Hassan, while the pace attack will be led by captain Fatima Sana along with Diana Baig and Tasmia Rubab.
The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to begin on June 12, with the final set to be played on July 5. This year’s tournament is being hosted by the England and Wales Cricket Board. Pakistan will start its campaign against arch-rivals India Women's National Cricket Team on June 14 in Birmingham, a match that has already generated huge excitement among cricket fans.
Despite participating in every Women’s T20 World Cup so far, Pakistan has never reached the knockout stage. This time, the team will aim to create history with its new-look squad.
